Each dog is unique. Some want to sniff their way around the block. For others, brisk exercise is key. Dog walking is also important for stress reduction and in some cases to improve socialization. Alice In Petland provides individual dog walks tailored to each dog’s needs.

Potty Breaks
Do you need to arrange for potty breaks for your furry loved one? If you are away from home longer than a few hours, your pet may need one or more potty break visits from your pet sitting professional.
Potty Breaks are a good idea for:

Just getting some fresh air
Some clients need a pet sitter to spend the night with their dogs. Others need a pet sitter to let their dogs out in the back yard for 30 minutes of play 3X per day. Some prefer their dog to be walked in order to go potty. Each situation is unique and depends on the individual dog’s habits.

Cat Sitting
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff! I am pleased to be your cat’s servant while you are away 😹. I provide daily visits or overnight stays, depending on your pet’s unique needs.
Alice In Petland cat sitting visits include:
Keeping your cat comfortable in its own environment
Adhering as closely as possible to your cat’s normal routine
Feeding and treats
Water bowl refresh
Holding and snuggling if the cat allows
Playtime stimulation and exercise with laser toy, feather wand or your cat’s favorite toy

Overnights
Alice In Petland provides overnight pet sitting at the pet’s house. Overnight pet sitting is appropriate for cats or dogs who thrive best in the comfort of their own home. Kennels can be stressful and many pets do better when they are left to their own routines, surrounded by familiar scents and objects.
Alice In Petland does not provide boarding services.
Before any overnight pet stay, I will come to your house for a complementary “Meet & Greet” to review your pet’s needs. During this initial consultation, I will collect details about your pet’s care and interact with your pets to make sure it’s a great fit.
Overnight pet sits are 12-hour visits and include all of the following services:
Feeding p.m. and a.m.
Water bowl refresh
Medications
Walk if needed
Interactive play
Poop patrol (lawn, etc.)
Cat litter duty
Lots of love and cuddling
Bring in mail/packages
Bring in/take out trash cans
Alternate the lights
Water the plants

Pet Taxi Pricing
Pet Taxi 1-way trips starting at $35
1-way means pickup at your house and take the pet to its destination OR ViceVersa. 1-way trips beyond 5 miles may incur an extra charge.
If you have other unique transportation needs, we will supply you with an estimate upon request.
Pet Taxi
Do you need help with transporting your pet to the vet, to the groomer or to doggy daycare? Alice In Petland is on the way! We provide safe and reliable pet taxi services and we really enjoy this aspect of our work. We strive to create a relaxing environment in the car by keeping it well ventilated and at a comfortable temperature. We also believe and studies have shown the right music can provide a calm environment for both the pet and driver, so typically jazz or reggae is played while traveling with animals.
One of the safest ways to transport your dog in a vehicle is to put the dog in the back seat with a tether or a harness attached to the seat belt. The front seat is too close to the dashboard, potential dangerous air bag contact in the event of an accident. A dog placed in the front seat also serves as a distraction for the driver. Cat carriers are also placed in the back seat and secured to a seat belt.

Things to Note
*All requests for pet care should be submitted via our online scheduling system or through the office. Your pet sitter cannot schedule visits. We will send you a confirmation email prior to the start of your care, please check your spam folder if you happen to not get it in your inbox. If you still do not get a confirmation email please call or email us, that means we do not have you on the calendar!
* ALL 1st care requests require a free in-home meeting. Call us at 980.580.PETS(7387) to set up a pet sitting service or email us at info@AliceInPetland.com.
* Once you have had your initial consultation, pet care visits should be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. We understand things pop up at the last minute and if they do there is a small $20 fee to accommodate for short notice in scheduling.
* Alice In Petland prefers you use a lockbox vs keeping a key on file. Lockboxes can be purchased online or at Home Depot or Lowe’s. If you have a door code or garage code that will work as well. If you don’t have a door code or lockbox we ask that you keep 2 keys on file and provide them to your sitter at your initial consultation. One key will be carried by your sitter and one will be held at the office. If you only supply one key at your consultation there is an $8 key making fee that will be charged to your first invoice so that two keys will be on file. If you do not keep a key on file after your consultation we do charge a $10 key pick up and $10 key drop off fee.
* We ask that your payment be received prior to the start of your pet care. A 50% deposit (of the totaled invoiced amount) is required to secure the dates requested, the dates will remain “penciled in” until the deposit is received. This is especially important for service requests over a holiday, our calendar fills up fast. The remaining 50% of the invoiced total will need to be paid on or before the first day of service. We accept payments via Zelle, check, or cash.
* We do charge a 20% holiday rate. The holiday’s that we observe are Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.
* If you, or your spouse, are currently serving active duty in any branch of the Military you will receive 5% off one invoice/scheduled service at a time. It’s our way of saying THANK YOU!
* We would like to show you our appreciation for all that you do to help us grow. If someone you refer us to becomes a new client of ours, you will receive $15.00 off your next service. Refer as many of your friends as you like because you will continue to get $15.00 off for everyone you refer that uses our services! Get started by sending them an email telling them why you use Alice In Petland to care for your pets.
As I am currently a one woman show, and commute time between visits plays a big role in efficiency, my service area is within an approximate 3 mile radius. I can accommodate services for clients outside of that 3 miles, if schedule permits. Extra mileage fee of $1 per mile may be applied to the invoice.
